Drawing Foundations
Line quality, shapes, observation, proportion, control, and confident mark-making.
Build a strong creative foundation through fashion figures, human proportions, poses, garment silhouettes, shading, fabric rendering, and professional presentation.
This beginner-friendly course introduces the essential drawing skills used in fashion design. Students learn how to observe, simplify, proportion, and present fashion ideas through guided studio exercises.
The course is structured for students with little or no previous drawing experience. Each lesson combines demonstration, practical work, individual feedback, and gradual portfolio development.
Students begin with simple drawing control and progress toward complete fashion figures, garments, details, and presentation sheets. The focus is not copying—it is learning how to see, understand, and develop a personal visual language.
By the end of the course, students should be able to develop and present basic fashion ideas with improved confidence, proportion, rendering, and visual clarity.
